On 4th June we felicitated at Jhargram the 14 new family members of Abheda Foundation. We were graced by the presence of the vice chairperson of Jhargram municipality Ms. Seuli Singha and ONGC CSR representatives Mr. S. K. Ghoshal and Mr. P. Kar. First, Biswajit Mitra, the Managing Trustee of Abheda Foundation, explained the objective of the DEPUS program. Next, the presentation ceremony took place as Ms. Singha, Mr. Ghoshal, Mr. Kar and other notable teachers from Jhargram gave away the prizes - a certificate, a memento, a cap with Abheda logo imprinted and of course a tablet. Then Biswajit Mitra demonstrated the apps Abheda English and English CourseTutor to the audience and emphasized how this will take forward the 'Digital India' initiative of the GoI. An eye camp followed whereby all new members were tested on their vision. Lastly, an extensive training session conducted by the monitors concluded the felicitation program. 

We from Abheda Foundation hereby thank all the participants of this program. It was a general impression received from the distinguished guests that such a unique and nice initiative is not publicised enough. Abheda Foundation expressed that it is only the beginning. In the years to come, we have some plans for digital education at Jhargram. We would definitely include more schools in our DEPUS program.
