We have been offering Swami Vivekananda Scholarship to meritorious yet financially challenged students since 2012. As many as 200 students of Canning, Jhargram and Jalangi in West Bengal had been given scholarship till date, and presently 105 students are the part of the Abheda family. Apart from the scholarship, we look after their well-being, develop life skills in them and provide career counselling and admission assistance so that they stand in life. The ultimate goal is to grow them up as socially-aware citizens of India who will give back to society in some form. A typical donation amount for sponsoring a student for a year is ₹6000 per year.

For the senior students who have passed Higher Secondary, we are taking an initiative to get them admitted to Kolkata degree colleges, B Sc. (Nursing), Engineering colleges and even to vocational courses like Medical Equipment Technician Program. To serve them, we are building a fund of ₹12 lakhs, which will solely be utilized for admission to college and vocational courses. We are expecting to get financial assistance from 40 kind donors, who can contribute ₹30000 one time.

We had built and have been running two model digital schools under the brand name Abheda eSchool at Jalangi, Murshidabad and Jhargram in West Bengal. There we teach English through Abheda English and English CourseTutor along with providing training on computer essentials and vocational courses on Nursing and Hospitality Management at a nominal fee. The fully digitally-equipped eSchools – with digital classrooms - were built with donations received from Abheda’s well-wishers and CSR funds. The eSchool at Jhargram needs an enhancement of infrastructure, equipment and publicizing material so that we can attract and accommodate more underprivileged students in the coming session. A new digital classroom is to be built in addition to making provision for more desktops and tablets. Nursing and Hospitality Management courses too need your patronage. English is a great leveler in the Indian society and a tool effecting confidence among the underprivileged, so we have indigenously developed two apps - Abheda English (for written English) and English CourseTutor (for verbal communications). These apps are available free on the Google Play Store. The objective of these apps and their contents is to teach English in the simplest possible way, a necessity for the target group. We also have a plan for releasing the Santali version of Abheda English.

Besides, we are facing financial difficulty in maintaining our website which needs addition of new pages from time to time. For example, we have designed, but not implemented, a complete examination management system for our students. Sponsorship for these software and content development is hard to get. So, any amount that is donated towards this will be accepted with gratitude.
